چکیده
This study assessed problems associated with irrigation water provisions and the potential barriers to adaptation of interventions (soil moisture sensors, on-farm storage facilities drip method) under rotational canal distribution in Punjab, Pakistan. Three groups stakeholders were individually surveyed during September–December 2020: (i) 72 farmers, (ii) 15 officials, (iii) 14 academicians. We used descriptive statistical analysis, cross-tabulation Fisher test explore pattern responses across groups. The main system expressed by farmers as limited allocation, while academicians concerned mostly inflexibility officials indicated discussion among neighbors. According farmers’ responses, conventional depth/interval is flooding field observing plants, indicating over-irrigation behavior. Moreover, most important that highly rated three low awareness, lack training financial resources. Additionally, education revealed a statistically significant influence on awareness soil sensors facilities, large farm holders showed positive relationship conducting joint experiment scientists associations part their land improve use efficiency.

Water Distribution System Design under Uncertainties
A chance constrained model is presented for the minimum cost design of water distribution networks. This methodology attempts to account for the uncertainties in required demands, required pressure heads, and pipe roughness coefficients. The optimization problem is formulated as a nonlinear progmmmhg model which is solved using a generalized reduced gradient method. Details of the mathematical ...
متن کاملDetermination of optimal and and water allocation under limited water resources using soil water balance in Ordibehesht canal of Doroodzan water district
ABSTRACT- Inadequate water supply is the major problem for agriculture in arid and semi-arid regions. Thus, effective management should be considered for water resources planning. In this research, a model was provided which is able to estimate optimal land and water allocation in the Doroodzan irrigation network. Optimal water management model was used at farm level to evaluate different defic...
متن کاملMonitoring of distribution water qualities under various source water blending.
The main goal of this large-scale pilot distribution study was to systematically investigate the impacts of blending different source waters on distribution water qualities. The principal source waters investigated were conventionally treated ground water (G1), surface water processed by enhanced treatment (S1), and desalted seawater by reverse osmosis membranes (RO). Due to the nature of raw w...
